Husky Adventures

Husky Adventures is the trips and clinics arm of Outdoor Endeavors. The purpose of this program is to develop programs and opportunities for SCSU students to travel and receive instruction in specific outdoor disciplines. The overall goal is to keep the price down and provide diverse program offering, experiences and training. Everyone must pre-register for all trips and clinics and attend pre-trip meetings. Outdoor Endeavors operates programs under Special Use Permits where required. We believe that having a solid relationship with land management agencies protects natural resources and to ensure the future of outdoor recreation programs at these locations. We currently have Special Use Permit status with the following land management agencies:

POLICIES
Cancellations happen. A tremendous amount of time and energy goes into planning Outdoor Endeavors programs. That said, Outdoor Endeavors has established the following cancellation policy:

If you cancel > 20 days prior to the trip/clinic you will get a 100% refund
If you cancel between 20 & 10 days prior to the trip/clinic you will get a 50% refund
If you cancel <10 days prior to the trip/clinic you will not get a refund

All refunds are issued through the SCSU Business Office and can take 2-3 days to process. All refunds require a Refund Request Form and will not be honored unless that form is filled out. There are no cash refunds or credits given towards future trips/clinics. There is a $25 processing fee that will be deducted from your refund to offset the cost of the transaction.

If a trip/clinic is cancelled by Outdoor Endeavors, a full refund will be issued with no cancellation fee.

Outdoor Endeavors is your first place to check for budget travel and outdoor adventures! We have put a lot of effort into planning these low cost, student driven experiences and hope you see the value as much as we do! Here is our line up for the upcoming semester.

Sea Kayaking the 10,000 Islands - Everglades National Park, Florida

Located in southwest Florida, the 10,000 Islands are part of the largest freshwater estuary system in the world. As part of Everglades National Park, this area is home to some of the richest diversity of plants and animals anywhere in North America. The trip travels by sea kayak to the barrier islands that separate the Gulf of Mexico from the mainland. Days are spent looking for manatees, sea turtles & dolphins. Evenings are spent camping on sand beaches enjoying epics sunsets and campfires.

Cost is $425 plus R/T air to Tampa, Florida

Tentative 2010 Spring Break Trips

Every year we try to find low cost adventures for those looking for something a little less traditional for spring break. We are offering up two trips in 2010 that we have had great success with and hope will continue to be a regular part of our line up. More to come about each of these trips as the semester moves forward. Start planning now for participation as spots fill quickly!
