Bike Shop
Outdoor Endeavors operates its own bike shop and offers discounted maintenance, repair and parts for students , faculty and staff. This service operates year round and is available by appointment or during open hours. Revenue from bike repairs and sale of parts goes to support the Husky Re-Cycle Initiative which provides free residence hall community bikes. The next time you need a tune up or repair, bring it to Outdoor Endeavors and support sustainable transportation on campus!
Husky Re-Cycle Rentals
We see a future campus that puts a priority on sustainable transportation and promotes bicycles over cars. There is no doubt that this vision would ease traffic, promote health/wellness and reduce our collective carbon footprint. Starting in Fall, 2010 we will be piloting the Husky Re-Cycle Rentals offering our students, faculty and staff bike rentals on a semester and academic year basis. Through a sustainable transportation grant, we have purchased brand new Diamondback Sorrento mountain bikes available for lease through the program.

Perks for this initiative include a bike helmet, one tune up per semester and FREE storage over breaks. Renters are responsible for securing the bikes during the lease. Deposits are held in the form of a credit card, check or cash and refundable at the end of the lease term. There is no damage assessment for normal wear and tear, but excessive damage due to misuse will be charged as deemed appropriate.
While many people choose to buy a cheaper bike, we have invested more for you on the front end and are making available a high quality bike at a fraction of the cost and maintenance of actually owning it. Save yourself the headache of replacing your cheap bike every year or overinvesting in an expensive bike by leasing a bike through the Husky Re-Cycle Rentals.
