I am a junior at SCSU studying athletic training and plan to attend graduate school for physical therapy. I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in August, 2014. I have always had an interest in health and wellness for as long as I can remember, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with clients. Whether you’re new to the fitness industry or are looking for new ways to challenge yourself, I would be more than happy to work with you to reach your fitness goals.
I am a sophomore at St. Cloud state studying business. I am certified through American Council on Exercise (ACE), and have been an official personal trainer since September 2015. Although my career will not include a fitness related job title, keeping active and staying healthy is a true passion and my one (and only) hobby. I've been on each end of the spectrum, both a trainee and a trainer; I can relate very well to beginners. My goal is to help my clients break through the initial fear of stepping into the weight room and become comfortable owning the gym floor with correct knowledge and proper form. My preferred training style is strength and power utilizing the dumbbells, barbells, bodyweight, etc., but I also like to incorporate high intensity interval training into each session.
I am currently a graduate student enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program here at St. Cloud State University. As an undergraduate at UW-Madison, I was an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer from June of 2012 through June of 2014, and I renewed my certification with ACE in October of 2016. Currently, there is a large focus on wellness within the field of mental health counseling, and it is my wish to incorporate fitness as a wellness factor into my practice as a counselor. I truly enjoy fitness for its challenges, life lessons and the sick gainz bro. I very much appreciate working with a broad range of clients striving for a positive change in their life. Whether you are looking to run your first 5K, get a boost in intramural sports, or put up 245 lbs on the bench like it’s nobody’s business I will be thrilled to work with you!
