What I love about SCSU Group X:
Group X taught me that fitness isn’t about the scale, but living with less pain, being self-confident, and engaging in activities you once were afraid of! My goal is to create a fun environment while challenging participants to greatness. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a fun team!
Something I want my participants to know about me:
When I attended my first Group Exercise class - Jazzercise at the YMCA - I was so nervous! But the instructor gave me tons of confidence, the workout gave me tons of energy, and I never looked back. My fitness journey is still going and now I love assisting people of all fitness levels to achieve more in life.

What I love about Group X at SCSU: It was the first thing that I connected to when I transferred schools. I was eager to try something new, and that involved by passion for exercising! It’s one of the main reasons why I love SCSU. Group X makes you feel not only welcome, but also like family! Everyone is on his or her own journey, and it’s so awesome to be a part of an encouraging team. I love me some Group X!!
Something I want my participants to know about me: I am senior studying elementary education. I love being around kids, and the thought that I get to educate and hopefully change their lives by that makes me so happy.

What I love about Group X at SCSU: What I love about Group at SCSU is that everyone is so encouraging and so friendly that it really make me feel at home. We are all one big team and family. Always cheering each other on and laughing.
Something I want my participants to know about me: I am here to help you reach your own personal fitness goals in any way possible. I am extremely fun and outgoing and absolutely love to teach. Have some fun during my classes and let loose, I am here for you if you have any questions or concerns. Lets go sweat the stress away. :)

What I love about Group X at SCSU: When I first started at SCSU I didn’t know anybody and didn’t know where to begin to get to know anyone. While walking around in Atwood I came across a group fitness booth and struck up a conversation with one of the yoga instructors. Being inflexible and having slight back pain from my prior job I didn’t think yoga was for me. I took the chance and decided that one morning class couldn’t hurt. That’s all it took and I was hooked! I went to as many classes as I could make it to. Once my favorite instructor graduated, my eyes were opened to the possibility of becoming an instructor and teach the class I love so much! I left SCSU and started my big kid job, but I couldn’t find the Group X experience I’ve come to love. So, I’m back teaching as a volunteer and loving my job once again!
Something I want my participants to know about me: One day I plan on moving to Portland and continuing my education with a PhD in mechanical engineering and quite possibly a masters in kinesiology that supports my love of fitness and the movement of the human body.

What I love about Group X at SCSU: The supportive atmosphere that everybody creates! Everybody is at a different place on their fitness journey, and no two journeys look alike. SCSU Group X encourages everybody to get involved, whether you've been training for years or you're just starting your very first class! There's something here for every fitness level and all goals are encouraged making it the perfect atmosphere to get fit and stay involved!
Something I want my participants to know about me: I snapped a photo of the Loch Ness Monster when I was interning in Scotland! Just kidding. I did try to find her though.

What I love about Group X at SCSU: The energy that the participants bring to class; it makes for a friendly and motivational atmosphere.
Something I want participants to know about me: I love meeting new people and leaning about cultures that are different from my own. I have been to South Africa multiple times , and I plan to travel the rest of the world.
Favorite Class to Teach: Any type of toning/ high intensity class!
Favorite Class(es) to attend: Express abs, I absolutely love feeling the burn after a hard ab workout!
What I love about Group X at SCSU: I think all of our instructors at Group X make each workout so much fun, leaving you wanting to attend more and more classes! It can be difficult going to the gym and coming up with workouts on your own. With Group X, you don’t have to! Each class provides challenging modifications for advanced athletes as well as lower modifications for those just starting their fitness journey. Group X classes are for everyone and they make working out fun!
Something I want my participants to know about me: I believe that we’re in each and every workout together! As a former volleyball player here at the University, I am a huge team player. We start each workout as a team and finish the workout strong as a team!

What I love about SCSU Group X: I love the beautiful atmosphere the instructors create here. Everyone is so positive,encouraging, supportive and willing to help with anything. It’s so enlightening to attend classes here because you get more than just a workout – you get true, kind hearted, non-judgmental, genuine instructors whose ultimate goals are to do whatever they can to help you succeed.
Something I want my participants to know about me: If someone would have told me I would be a group fitness instructor one day I wouldn’t have believed them. I never expected for Group X to impact me so much but it truly has. When I first transferred to St. Cloud State I hardly knew anyone. I had so much anxiety, worry and fear about my time here. I honestly couldn’t sleep for weeks and was so home sick. I walked into my first Group X Yoga class and I fell completely in love with the way yoga focused on quieting the mind and body and gaining strength through patience in yourself. Yoga helped me find this indescribable peace and courage within myself that I never knew existed. After attending for some time, and seeing how yoga helped me overcome my fears in my personal life, I developed a strong passion for yoga and wanted to share this passion with others. My hope is to inspire everyone that attends my classes to both physically and mentally find the greatest strength and peace possible within themselves.
