Group FItness

Campus Recreation offers a full schedule of classes taught by certified instructors. There are two sessions each semester and passes are available for 7 week schedules.

Instructor Training Certification

This is an opportunity for you to become an SCSU certified group fitness instructor. Components of the comprehensive 10 week course include anatomy, counting, cueing, class format and choreography. Students will be prepared to teach hi/lo cardio, funk, step, aqua, body sculpting, kickboxing, yoga, pilates, cycling, stability ball, BOSU balance, and many other new trends in fitness. At the completion of the class participants will have an opportunity to tryout for the SCSU Group Fitness team.

When: Tuesday nights in Studio 51 February 5th through April 15th (10 weeks)
**Informational meeting on January 29th at 7PM
Time: 7:00 - 9:00PM
Fees:
SCSU Students - $75.00
All Others - $150.00
* Fee includes training manual and study materials, group fitness coupons, hand wraps, and more!!
