St. Cloud Subaru 5K Corporate Challenge
The Earth Day Run and St. Cloud Subaru is partnering with the St. Cloud Area YMCA to put together a Corporate Challenge Event in conjunction with ING 5K Run/Walk on Friday April 20th. The Corporate Challenge promotes Health and Wellness among area businesses. The event provides businesses the opportunity to compete against other area businesses and within there own companies to encourage health and wellness. In addition to promoting health and wellness, $50 from every team registration taken will be split between the YMCA Partners Campaign and the Beaver Island Trail Expansion. This is a great opportunity to kick off the spring for your business. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 placing teams and there will be additional merchandise given to Corporate Challenge team members beyond the standard T-Shirt and Bag that all competitors will receive.
Who can sign up? - Each team must have a minimum of 5 participants to sign up for the Corporate Challenge. Teams must be no larger than 10 participants. Multiple teams from one company are encouraged to sign up.
Cost – Standard 5 Person Team - $250
+ $40 for each additional member past 5

What participants get – Each team member will receive the 5K T-Shirt and Asics Cinch Bag that all 5K participants will receive. In addition the participants will receive a long sleeve performance running shirt.
What can we win – Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
1st Place – Corporate Challenge Cup, $20 gift card to Scheels (limit 10), placer medals
2nd Place – Fit Socks, placer medals
3rd Place – Placer medals
How do we win – All Corporate Challenge competitors will have there times recorded and adjusted using an age grading scale. Age-grading scales work to even the field among runners of all ages and genders. The top 5 times from team members will then be added up and averaged to produce the teams overall time. For a breakdown of the age grading formula the men's and women's links below will take you to the calculations we will use.
How to Register – Teams in the corporate challenge should print off the registration form and fill out in it’s entirety and mail or drop off the form at the St. Cloud Area YMCA.
Forms must be received by April 1st, 2012.
Additional Rules –
- Teams must be able to produce proof of employment by company. This can be in the form of a pay stub, I.D.
- If a runner is injured they can be removed from the teams roster and replaced. A new participant must pay $40. Refunds will not be given for injured runners.
- No refunds are allowed for the corporate challenge.
