SCSU Aero Club
The SCSU Aero Club was formed in 1949 as a nonprofit corporation to provide students, faculty, and staff with reasonable aircraft rates for training and transportation. Aero Club members own six aircraft and a hangar. The SCSU Aero Club generates a Flight Team from its membership that competes annually in regional and national SAFECONS (flying competitions). Sigma Chi Upsilon (SCU) chapter of Alpha Eta Rho (AHP)
The Sigma Chi Upsilon (SCU) chapter of Alpha Eta Rho (AHP) was rechartered in January, 1989. Today, the SCSU chapter of the international fraternity for men and women in collegiate aviation seeks to foster AHP's goals of academic excellence and community involvement. Current Advisor: Ms. Angie Olson
American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE)
The student chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is Aviation Management oriented. Its regular monthly meetings and activities make it an excellent resource for education, current events in aviation, and in making business contacts. Membership is the first step in becoming an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) or Certified Member (CM). Current advisor: Mr. Michael Ferguson
Aviation Ambassadors
The Aviation Ambassadors, formed in the Fall of 1995, assist the faculty in department marketing efforts. Members represent the SCSU Aviation Department at Oshkosh EAA AirVenture, Minnesota and Wisconsin aviation symposiums, and other events. They also provide tours and information programs to the general public. Current Advisor: Dr. Steve L. Anderson
