The Center for Student Organizations and Leadership Development (CSOLD)

The Center for Student Organizations and Leadership Development (CSOLD) provides leadership training for all students and serves as a support system for registered student organizations and the Fraternity & Sorority Learning Communities.  Participation in organizations, service, and leadership activities on campus and in the community connects your classroom learning to actual world experiences.  The CSOLD office coordinates the student organization registration process and maintains contact information for clubs and organizations.  Special programs are also provided by CSOLD, including: Kick-Off Weeks, the Excellence in Leadership Program, the Leadership Development Institute, the C-Curricular Transcript, and more.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is the elected voice of all SCSU students.  Students may participate in any of the 10 committees including: Academic Affairs, Campus Affairs, Cultural Diversity, Free Allocation, Finance, Judicial Council, Legislative Affairs, Public Relations, Student Constitution, Student Services, and Urban Affairs.

SCSU’s community service center, providing students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, a sense of belonging, and civic responsibility through involvement in meaningful service.  Volunteer Connection strives to promote reciprocal service that benefits both the individual and the community.

University Program Board

The University Program Board (UPB) is a student organization with the mission of enhancing the learning and personal development of students attending SCSU.  Its primary focus is to support the academic mission and environment of the university by providing high quality, diverse programs in the following areas: national concerts, films, festivals, performing arts, speakers, special events, regional and local music, and visual arts.  Through involvement, UPB also gives students concrete experience in planning, publicizing, and implementing programs, thus helping them develop lifelong skills to complement their academic experiences and contribute to their future success.

“Born of Hunger.”  The SCSU Student Cultural Center houses offices for several student cultural organizations, including: Vietnamese Student Association, Asian Students in Action, All Tribes Council, African Student Association, Council of African American Students, and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.  The Student Cultural Center is open for all students to gather and features meeting spaces, a meditation room, a lounge, and an open access computer lab.

Fraternity & Sorority Learning CommUNITY

SCSU hosts 5 men’s fraternities and 4 women’s sororities, which makes it the largest organization on campus.  The Fraternity/Sorority experience fosters life-long relationships among its members while staying connected to campus and the community of St. Cloud long after your graduation.

Atwood Center Council

The purpose of the Atwood Memorial Center (AMC) Council is to serve primarily as an advisory body to the Director of AMC. Its recommendations are given appropriate weight in decisions affecting AMC policies, guidelines, and goals for the use of AMC facilities. Its membership is composed of student and staff representatives from various constituencies, including: Faculty, Alumni, Residence Hall Association, Student Government Association, University Program Board, Graduate Students, Multicultural Student Services, and others.
