Directions to Atwood Memorial Center

I-94 from Minneapolis (from east):

  • Take the first St. Cloud exit (County Road 75) and continue until you reach Washington Memorial Drive.
  • Turn right onto Washington Memorial Drive and continue to the first stoplight at the intersection of 10th Street.
  • Turn right on 10th Street and continue to the second set of stop lights at 5th Avenue.
  • Turn left on 5th Avenue and go 4 blocks to 6th Street.
  • Turn right on 6th Street and continue 3 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

I-94 from the west:

  • Take the first St. Cloud exit (Highway 23).
  • Follow the directions for "Highway 23 from the west" below.

Highway 23 from the east:

  • Continue west on Highway 23 across the Mississippi River until the first stoplight after the bridge.  This is the intersection of 4th Avenue South.
  • Turn left on 4th Avenue South and go about 5 blocks to 6th Street.  On your right will be a house that was converted to offices marked "Buildings and Grounds". 
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue 2 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

Highway 23 from the west:

  • Go all the way to downtown St. Cloud and take a right on 5th Avenue.
  • Continue on 5th Avenue until you reach 6th Street (about 5 blocks).
  • Take a left onto 6th Street and continue 3 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

Highway 10 from Brainerd/Little Falls (from the north):

  • Take the Highway 23/St. Cloud exit.
  • Continue west on Highway 23 across the Mississippi River until the frist stoplight after the bridge.  This is the intersection of 4th Avenue South.
  • Turn left on 4th Avenue South and go about 5 blocks to 6th Street.  On your right will be a house that was converted to offices marked "Buildings and Grounds".
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue 2 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

Highway 10 from Minneapolis (from the east):

  • Same as from Brainerd/Little Falls

Highway 15 from the south:

  • Follow Highway 15 into St. Cloud to the second stoplight.  This is the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 23 (Division Street).  Turn right on Highway 23 and go all the way to downtown St. Cloud and take a right on 5th Avenue. 
  • Continue on 5th Avenue until yo reach 6th Street (about 5 blocks).
  • Take a left onto 6th Street and continue 3 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

Highway 15 from the north:

  • Follow Highway 15 into St. Cloud untl you reach Highway 23 (Division Street).  Turn left on Highway 23 and go all the way to downtown St. Cloud and take a right on 5th Avenue.
  • Continue on 5th Avenue until you reach 6th Street (about 5 blocks).
  • Take a left onto 6th Street and continue 3 blocks.
  • Atwood Center is on the right.

Parking

Atwood is located on the corner of 6th Street South and 1st Avenue. Parking is available on some city streets, the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center pay lot or the North/South pay lots. All pay lots are enforced 52 weeks of the year. Employee lots, pay lots, and commuter student lots are free after 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, after 3:00 p.m. on Friday and for the entire weekend.  (Note: any SCSU parking space with individual signs are ticketed 24 hours a day). Student Resident Lots (Yellow "A" and "E" lot signs) are free after 3:00 p.m. on Friday through Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Parking arrangements can be made with the Public Safety Department by calling 320-308-3453, or by visiting their office on the corner of 4th Avenue South and 6th Street South. Off campus guests can expect to pay $3.00 for a day pass if available, or plan to use the pay lots which can be located on the following map: http://www.stcloudstate.edu/campusmap/
