WRESTLING: Huskies Outstanding in the Classroom

St. Cloud, Minn. -- St. Cloud State University recently released its spring semester grades and the Husky Wrestling team was outstanding in the classroom. The squad had 22 young men finish the semester with a 2.8 or higher grade point average.
"We are very proud of the individuals who have applied themselves in the classroom this semester," said assistant coach Matt Lowers. "We strive for our student-athletes to not only be successful on the mat, but in the classroom."
The Huskies had six National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-America picks this past year and finished 19th in NCAA Division II with a 3.088 team gpa. John Sundgren (Blaine), Matt Jackson (Oakdale), Adam Helgeson (Sauk Centre), Adam Hill (Sauk Rapids), Jacob Horn (Ephrata, WA) and Erik Rogness (Buffalo) were MWCA honorees this past season.
This marks the third consecutive year that the Huskies have finished in the top-twenty in NCAA Division II in academic standing.
Following are the Huskies whose academic excellence include a gpa of 2.8 or higher during the spring semester.
