2005 St. Cloud State Invitational Results

Minnesota State, Mankato won the team title at the 2005 St. Cloud State Invitational on Dec. 10, in the Halenbeck Hall South Fieldhouse.  MSU had 160 points, while defending champion Augsburg College posted 133.5 points.  St. John's was third with 110.5 points and Dickinson State was fourth at 94.0.

The remainder of the field was completed by Southwest Minnesota State (82.0), Northern State (64.0), Ridgewater (56.0), St. Cloud State (47.0), Jamestown (32.5), Rochester (28.5), Itasca (19.0), Dakota County (13.5). 

Ryan Reed of Southwest State was the tournament MVP. Of note, this marked the first time since 1993 that Mankato has won the SCSU Invitational and it was also the first time since that year that a team aside from Augsburg or North Dakota State won the SCSU Invitational title.

The Huskies were paced by Nate Schut, who placed fourth at 165 points.  Jario Sandoval from SCSU placed fifth at 174 pounds and Tom Anderson placed eighth at 157 pounds.  In action at 133, SCSU's Brent Johnson placed seventh and Nick Wasche was sixth at 125 pounds.
