2010-11: A redshirt athlete at SCSU in 2010-11...will serve as team captain in 2011-12.
2009-10: Skala was 26-10 for the Huskies in 2009-10...NCAA regional champion at 184-pounds in 2010...a national qualifier for the 2010 NCAA championships at 184-pounds...captured 2nd place finishes at the 2009 Cobber and Husky Opens...All-NSIC First Team honoree in 2010...will serve as team captain in 2010-11.
2008-09: Skala went 27-9 on the season with 5 falls…he went 8-4 in dual meet action…he is a returning NCAA All-American…he placed 1st at the Bison Open…2nd at the Dragon Open…3rd at the Husky Open…1st at the Menlo Invite…2nd at the Super Region III…7th at the NCAA DII National Tournament…he was named “NSIC Wrestler of the Week”… “NSIC All-Conference Award.”
2007-08: Qualified for the Division II National Tournament with a fourth place finish at the North Central Region…went 30-11 on the season with four falls…he went 12-3 in dual meet action…best tournament finish came at Midwest Classic where he placed second…placed third at the Dragon Open and fifth at the Husky Open…
2006-07: Skala went 2-4 on the season wrestling unattached…
HIGH SCHOOL: Skala graduated from Owatonna High School in 2006…he was a state champion and three-time state place winner…he compiled a career mark of 151-25…
PERSONAL: The son of Ron and Dawn Skala…was a member of the SCSU football team in 2007…he enjoys softball…he is majoring in business management at SCSU.
