· THE RECORD: St. Cloud State is 6-16 overall in 2009 and 2-8 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. For complete 2009 statistics, click here.

ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK: The Huskies (6-16, 2-8
NSIC) will hit the road this week with matches at nationally-ranked NSIC
opponents in Southwest Minnesota State on Friday, Oct. 16 (7:00 pm) and
Minnesota State on Saturday, Oct. 17 (4:00 pm). SMSU is 17-5 overall and ranks fifth in the league with a 7-3 mark. MSU is 20-2 overall and unbeaten in league play at 10-0.
· SMSU SERIES: St. Cloud State leads the all-time series with Southwest Minnesota State University, 20-12, dating back to 1969.
· MSU SERIES: After dropping a match earlier this season to Minnesota State on Sept. 22, the Huskies continue to lead the all-time series with the Mavericks, 52-40, dating back to 1970.
· LAST WEEK’S RESULTS: St. Cloud State volleyball dropped to 6-16 on the season and 2-8 in the NSIC after losing weekend matches to nationally-ranked Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State on Homecoming.
· DOUBLE-DOUBLE FOR TSCHIDA: Junior co-captain Kayla Tschida (Holdingford) led the Huskies with 15 kills (.213) and 12 digs against Bemidji State, marking Tschida’s third double-double of the season. Tschida also chipped in a team-high three block assists.
· LEADING THE WAY: Kayla Tschida totaled 22 kills (.254), 18 digs and nine blocks (1s, 8a) over the past weekend’s action.
· BEACOM AFFECTIVE: Right side hitter Erica Beacom (Elkhorn, Neb.) also had a stellar evening offensively against BSU, posting seven kills, two block assists and a team-high .500 hitting percentage.
· DIG PINK IN OCTOBER: The St. Cloud State volleyball team is asking fans, family and friends to rally together to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. At all the home matches in October (Oct. 9, 10, 30, 31), Husky volleyball will be selling DIG PINK T-SHIRTS at the doors for $10 and will also be taking pledges to KILL CANCER. Individuals can pledge as much as they desire for each kill the Huskies have during that match.
