VOLLEYBALL: St. Cloud Volleyball Weekly Notes

· St. Cloud State went 1-2 this past week, garnering a 3-2 thrilling match victory over Minnesota, Crookston on Saturday, Sept. 27, which snapped a two-match slide.
· The Huskies are 6-12 overall and 2-4 in the NSIC. For complete season statistics, click here.
· Junior middle hitter Kayla Tschida (Holdingford) had a career night for the Huskies against Minnesota, Crookston on Sept. 26. En route to the Huskies 3-2 thrilling match victory, Tschida posted her first double-double of the season with 20 kills (.425) and 15 digs in the back row. Both marks are new career highs for the team co-captain. On the week, Tschida totaled 79 kills (.278) and 35 digs in 11 sets played.
· First year libero Sarah Madden (Van Meter, Iowa) ranked 10th in the league, averaging 3.70 digs per set.
· The Huskies continue action on the road this week, as St. Cloud State heads to Sioux Falls, S.D., for a league match against Augustana College on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The first serve is slated for 7:00 pm in Augie’s Elmen Center. On Saturday, Oct. 3, SCSU will go head to head against two-time defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Concordia University, St. Paul. The first serve is schedule for 6:00 pm at Gangelhoff Center.
