The Lauren Cipperly Story

2010 Season: Cipperly charted ten matches with double digit kills in 2010…in 96 sets played, the sophomore
outside hitter totaled 198 kills (.082), 29 set assists and 34 total blocks (3s, 31a)…the Andover native co-led
the squad with 27 serving aces…tabbed a career-best 14 kills three times during the season…second on the team
with 246 digs…amassed a new career-high mark of 19 digs against Lock Haven (9/4/10) and Mesa State College (9/10/10)…totaled six double-doubles on the season.

2009 Season: Started the season as an outside hitter and posted a game-high 12 kills against UW-Parkside (9/29/09) and nationally ranked Nebraska-Kearney (9/4/09)…was called upon to set the last six matches of the season after junior setter Kiersten Mormann went down with an injury against Wayne State on Oct. 30…the rookie dished out a career-high 41 set assists at Bemidji State on Nov. 3 and tabbed her first career double-double on the same night after garnering 12 digs…completed the season with 88 kills (1.19 kps), three serving aces, 177 set assists, 85 digs and 10 total blocks.

Before SCSU: A 5-10 outside hitter, Lauren Cipperly stems from a talented Minnesota volleyball family…a 2009 graduate of Andover High School…played volleyball for coach Connie Huberty at AHS...a three-year letterwinner in volleyball, Cipperly was named to the 2008 Minnesota All-State Honorable Mention squad after leading her team to the state tournament for the second consecutive season…named to the All-Northwest Suburban Conference team twice in her prep stint, Cipperly landed herself on the Minnesota All-State Tournament team in 2007 and 2008, after leading her Andover prep team to the 2007 and 2008 Regional Championships…of note, the Andover Huskies tabbed conference championships in 2006 and 2007 and her Minnesota Select 17-under club team took ninth in the club division at the 2008 National Tournament with Cipperly on the roster.

Personal: The daughter of Greg and Joy Cipperly, Lauren totaled 309 kills on the outside, averaging 3.7 kills per set during her final campaign…she also led the league with 62 aces from the serving line and posted 317 digs, good for 3.8 digs per set.
