The Ellie Dietzen Story
Before SCSU: A 2009 graduate of Seymour Community High School where she was coached by Laura Trautmann in volleyball…lettered three times in volleyball, earning Most Improved Player, Most Valuable Player and Best Defensive Player accolades…the middle hitter also garnered All-Bay Conference First and Second Team nods during her prep tenure after leading the league in blocks and kills for two seasons…led her squad to a conference championship as a team captain and landed herself on the All-Area team and the Wisconsin All-Star squad…also participated in basketball, softball and hockey…charted one letter in basketball and two letters in softball…was her team’s MVP two seasons…a team captain, was named the All-Area Utility Player…as a pitcher was named to the All-Conference Second Team and All-Area Honorable Mention squad…in hockey, played for the Wisconsin Wild…landed on the Central District Team two season and won the state tournament three years.
Personal: Daughter of Bruce and Karen Dietzen of Black Creek, Wis. …says her parents have had the greatest influence on her career…a WIAA Scholar Female Athlete…MWEHL Academic award winner…was the Lion’s Club Female Athlete of the Year nominee…enjoys coaching youth sports.
