The Chelsea Nagle Story

2010 Season: Nagle appeared in 101 sets for the Huskies in 2010…the junior libero was voted the team’s Best Defensive Player after leading the Huskies with 481 digs…charted a career-high three kills against Michigan Tech in the season opener on Sept. 3…dug up a new career-best 33 digs at Winona State in a big 3-1 victory…finished the season ranked fourth in the NSIC, averaging 4.76 digs per set…third on the squad with 15 serving aces…named to the 2010 NSIC Fall Academic team for the second time in her career.

2009 Season: Appeared in 107 sets for the Huskies as a sophomore…served majority of the season as a defensive specialist and completed season ranking second on the team with 357 digs…was also second in digs per set with 3.34 dps…finished the season as the team’s libero…totaled a new career-high 29 digs at Northern State on Oct. 24…currently ranks 11th all-time at SCSU with a .939 serve percentage…tabbed a career-best three serving aces against Nebraska-Kearney on September 4…. dished out a career-best four set assists on Nov. 3 at Bemidji State…was third on the squad with 18 serving aces…dished out 13 assists and garnered seven kills on the season…named to the 2009 NSIC Fall Academic team.

2008 Season: Made first collegiate appearance against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Aug. 30…posted season-high three assists later that day against Missouri-St. Louis…had first career kill and block against #23 Augustana on Sept. 30…recorded first career service ace against Ashland on Sept. 5 in Alaska...had season-high two service aces against Bemidji State on Oct. 11…had season-high 19 digs against Minnesota, Crookston on Nov. 8 as part of a three-match run of 34 digs, her best run of the season…had five other double-digit dig efforts.

Before SCSU: A 2008 graduate of Fillmore Central High School in Preston, Minn. … coached by Kristi Bren…was named Ms Minnesota Volleyball (Class A) and was an All-State selection in 2007…a four-year team MVP and All-Conference selection… holds numerous school records including most digs in a game (63) and most kills in a game (37)…averaged 12 kills and 12 digs per game during her prep career…team captain…earned four letters in basketball and three letters in track and field.

Personal:  Daughter of Devin Nagle and Dawn Hellickson…gained All-Conference academic honors in volleyball, basketball and track and field…member of the Fillmore Central Scholar Club…involved in many school activities including yearbook, school radio show and being a SADD board member…plans to pursue a degree in pre-medicine at SCSU.
