The Jennifer Waterman Story

2008 Season: Started sophomore season in the top-10 of SCSU’s career assist list, and currently sits at sixth with 2030…recorded double-digit digs and assists in 13 matches…had streak of 180 straight sets played snapped after sitting out Minnesota Duluth game in October…recorded season-high 53 assists on Nov. 4 against Bemidji State…recorded season high 19 digs against Northern State on Oct. 25…had a season-high six kills on four different occasions…had 10 matches with three or more blocks…had six matches of 40+ assists…had career high seven blocks (0s/7a) in win over Minnesota State on Oct. 18.

2007 Season: The first year setter appeared in all 114 games during the 2007 stint...voted team's Rookie of the Year...led the team with 1,183 set assists, which set a new school record for assists in a season as a first year player...the previous record of 859 assists was held by former Husky Rachel Olson (1997)...tallied first career kill against Saginaw Valley State on Aug. 24... posted a career/season-high eight kills against Valley City State in Halenbeck Hall on Oct. 16...dished out a career/season-high 63 set assists at Bemidji State on Oct. 9...tallied a career/season-high seven total blocks and 19 digs against MSU Moorhead on Oct. 25...completed season ranked  fifth on the team with 274 digs and ranked sixth in the NCC with 10.29 assists per game...Waterman ranks 10th all-time at SCSU with 1,183 career set assists.

Before SCSU: A 2007 graduate of Anoka High School….three-time letter winner in volleyball…earned 2006 All-Northwest Suburban Conference honors and captained the AHS Tornadoes Conference championship team…coached by Nicole Duft…named to the 2006 All-State Academic team…tallied all-conference honorable mention accolades her junior season in 2005… the past two seasons, Waterman was voted her team’s best server….in her final campaign, Waterman led the team with 37 serving aces and recorded 155 kills, 141 digs, 91 set assists and 43 blocks in 2006.

Personal:  A member of the National Honor Society…was an active member of BPA at her school…parents are Steve and Sue Waterman…her parents have had the greatest influence on her career…honor roll student…her hobbies include fishing, watching movies, reading and going to concerts.
