The Andreana Pieper Story
2008 Season: Husky senior libero Andreana Pieper (Williams) has added to her list of accolades, being named to the 2008 All-Central Region First Team for the first time in her collegiate career. Pieper leaves St. Cloud State as the school’s all-time digs leader with 1,874 in 427 sets played. She also sits atop the digs per-set list, averaging 4.42 respectively. During her senior stint, Pieper led the NSIC with 5.38 digs per set, which gained her All-NSIC Honorable Mention status. Last season, the Williams native was the North Central Conference's digs per set leader as well, posting 5.95 dps. Pieper charted 561 digs in her final collegiate season, along with 46 assists and 25 service aces in 105 sets played. The 561 digs are her second most in a single season, while the 46 assists were the most for Pieper in a single year. Pieper, along with the six other players that landed on the All-Central Region First Team, will now be eligible for the 2008 All-American squad. Of note, Pieper is the fourth Husky in school history to gain All-Region First Team honors. Since 2005, Daktronics, Inc. has sponsored the All-Region award. Along with Pieper, SCSU's former Husky Kristi Pangrac (2003-06) is the only other Husky to gain Daktronics, Inc. All-Region status, being named to the All-Region Second Team in 2006.
2007 Season: Named to the 2007 All-North Central Conference Honorable Mention team for the first time in her career....gained NCC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll status for the second time in her career....lone Husky to be named to the All-NCC Academic Team... voted the team's Most Valuable Defensive Player and also charted the Most Inspirational Player Award after the 2007 season... led the NCC with 5.95 digs per game in 2007...the Williams native is closing in on the all-time career digs title at SCSU...former Husky Leah Herrboldt (2001-04) holds the career mark with 1365 digs...Pieper is just 41 digs away, as she currently has 1324 career digs in 322 games played...named NCC Defensive POW on 9/17/07...set new career-high marks of five serving aces at Minnesota, Crookston on Sept. 25 and 37 digs at North Dakota on Oct. 20...led the team with 678 digs in 2007, which shattered the previous school season record of 458 digs held by former Huskies Krista Hartung (1995) and Megan Hardy (2004)...also totaled a team-best 37 serving aces on the season.
2006 Season: Voted team Co-Most Valuable Defensive Player...led the Huskies with 399 digs as the libero in 2006...totaled a season high 28 digs at Minnesota State on Oct. 14 and a seasn high four aces twice in 2006 (8/26/06 - Lake Superior, 10/14/06 - Minnesota State)... completed her sophomore campaign with two kills, 36 set assists and 27 serving aces in 107 games played.
2005 Season: As a first year, Pieper appeared in all 29 matches for the Huskies...collected three hits and 19 set assists...tied for second on the team with 23 serving aces...was second on the team with 247 digs.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Lake of the Woods H.S., where she played for coach Laurie Bitter...three-time letterwinner in volleyball and All-Conference performer in 2003 and 2004...helped team win conference titles in 2003 and 2004, and a state runner-up spot in 2003...four-time letterwinner in basketball and All-Conference hoops player in 2005...gained two letters in track and field and was a section participant in 2004...a Grand Forks Herald player of the week award winner...listed in Who¹s Who Among High School Athletes...Lake of the Wood Student of the Month in 2005...was a candidate for the Emerging Leaders Academy...National Honor Society vice president...a student council vice president.
