The Alecia Lunde Story
2009 Season: Landed on the 2009 NSIC Fall Academic squad…completed the season with 148 kills, good for fourth on the team…made 19 starts in her junior stint and appeared in 27 matches for the Huskies…posted lone serving ace of the season against Upper Iowa…put away a career-best 15 kills and six total blocks (2s, 4a) against Saint Joseph’s on Sept. 12…tallied a season-best five digs against Augustana on Oct. 31 in Halenbeck Hall…leaves SCSU with 248 kills, 40 assists, 73 digs and 52 total blocks in 56 matches played in the Cardinal and Black.
2008 Season: Had a career day against Minnesota, Crookston on Sept. 27, putting away 15 kills; good for a .600 attack percentage…recorded season-best three blocks (0s/3a) against #23 Augustana on Sept. 30…season-high three digs against Minnesota State…recorded career high assist mark against Northern State on Oct. 25 with five….season high dig total of three occurred against Minnesota State on Oct. 18 and against Bemidji State on Nov. 4.
2007 Season: Lunde posted 12 kills, one set assist, five digs and 1.0 total blocks during her first year of competition for the Huskies...named to the 2007 North Central Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll...had a season-high six kills against Upper Iowa University on Aug. 28 in Halenbeck Hall.
2006 Season: Red-shirt season at SCSU.
Before SCSU: Graduated from St. Francis high school in 2006... a five-time letterwinner in volleyball and four-time letterwinner in track...named All-Conference three times in volleyball...two-time team MVP...named North Suburban Conference MVP.... member of All-Conference and All-State Academic teams... Academics, Arts and Athletics award winner.
Personal: Daughter of Kurt and Charline of East Bethel, MN... her family has had the greatest influence on her career...enjoys water skiing, camping and reading... was a member of National Honor Society... a student ambassador... member of high school choir... a business major at SCSU.
