TRACK & FIELD: Busy Weekend on Tap for Husky Track and Field Teams

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University men's and women's track and field teams will be competing all around the upper midwest for the next five days as the Huskies will send athletes to the Drake Relays (April 23-24), Simpson College (April 24), Gustavus Adolphus College (April 25), and Northern State University (April 26-27).
It all gets underway on Thursday at the running of the 100th Drake Relays in DesMoines, Iowa. St. Cloud State will send 17 athletes to the Drake Relays. The event this year will feature 7,392 athletes from 616 teams and 66 countries, and runs Wednesday through Saturday.
On Thursday, first year runner Kyle Neumann (Andover) will compete in the 10K at the Drake Relays at 3:45. On Friday, the women's 4x100 relay of senior Mikha Tan (Sioux City, IA), senior Amber Schueler (Glencoe), sophomore Kelsey King (Lakeville) and junior Heather Miller (Sun Prairie, WI) will run at 8:58 a.m.
At 9:17 a.m. on Friday, the men's 4x100 relay of junior Gabe Udia (Inver Grove Heights), sophomore Nick Trisko (Melrose), junior Marcus Jenkins (Long Branch, NJ), and senior Michael Graham (Oakdale) will race. The women's distance medley relay of first year Brittney Moffatt (Coon Rapids), junior Amanda Eggebrecht (St. Cloud), sophomore Cheryl Hundt (Bangor, WI) and first year Nish Rubash (New Lisbon, WI) will run at 10:05 a.m. At 2:26 p.m., the women's 4x400 relay of Schueler, Tan, Eggebrecht, and Moffatt will compete.
Saturday, beginning at 9:34 a.m., the women's sprint medley of Schueler, Tan, Eggebrecht, and Moffatt will race followed by the men's sprint medley of Udia, Trisko, junior David Queck (Annandale) and sophomore Dan Allen (Waite Park) at 9:54 a.m.

On Friday, April 24, a partial team will compete at the Kip Janvrin Simpson College Open in Indianola, Iowa. The field and running events will begin at 2:00 p.m. For those results go here.
On Saturday, April 25, several Huskies will compete at the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. The field events get underway at 10:30 a.m. followed by the running events at 12:15. Those results can be found here.
To concluded the whirlwind of activity, the NSIC Multi Championships will be contested on Sunday and Monday, April 26-27 at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. Several Huskies will compete in the Heptathlon and Decathlon on those days. For NSIC Multi results click here.
