2008: Named to Indoor NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll...first of three second place finishes in long jump came at Husky Open (5.28 m)…other two runner-up marks in the long jump came at SCSU Open (5.28) and Parent’s Day Open (5.34 m)…also earned silver in the 60-meter (8.18) at the Husky Open…placed sixth in 60-meter (8.17) at Minnesota Open…
2007: Competed in 100-meter (12.92) and 200-meter (26.83), and finished 10th in the long jump (16’7¼”) at the NCC outdoor championships…lone first place finish came at the Bison Classic in the 100-meter, and was an NCC honor roll time at 12.90…season best mark in the long jump came in a fifth place effort (17’8¾”) at the Cobber Invitational and was NCC honor roll mark at seventh best last season…26.02 mark in the 200-meter at the Drake Alternative was season best, NCC 11th best, and good enough for second place finish…also charted a second place in the 100-meter (13.24) at the same meet…recorded honor roll mark in the 60-meter (7.95) during the Husky Open in the indoor season.
2006: Joined the Huskies in the 2006 season as a transfer from Iowa Central CC where she competed in the sprint and jump events...made solid improvements in the long jump during the indoor season and jumped a career best mark of 17-2½…she was the only Husky woman to make the finals of the long jump at the Indoor NCC Championships and placed eighth…at the NCC Outdoor Championships, she placed sixth in the 4 x 100, seventh in the 4 x 400, and competed in the long and triple jumps.
High School: 2004 graduate of Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School…coached by Mark Bliven …four-time letter winner in track & field, named Team Captain…three-time letter winner in cross country, named team Captain.
Personal: Daughter of Petrus and Lili Tan of Sioux City, Iowa…majoring in sport management with a minor in marketing.
