2008: Took second place at Husky Open in the 1000-meter (2:48.63) and in the SCSU Open in the 5000-meter (16:26.00)…started outdoor season with fourth place in 5000-meter (16:15.33) at Morris…ended indoor season at NCC Championships with 13th place in 5000-meter (16:26.41)…NCC Outdoor Championships ended with 11th place in the 10,000-meter (34.23.76) and 23rd in the 5,000 (16:30.38).
High School: 2006 graduate of St. Louis Park High School.
Personal: Son of Maba and Mahavva Cherif of Minneapolis, Minnesota…says his coaches have had the greatest influence on his athletic career...undeclared on a major.
