The Bryan Chavers Story
2008: Best finish and time of indoor season came with fourth place mark at Husky Open in the 60-meter (7.39)…tallied 12th place marks at NCC Indoor Championships in both the 60-meter (7.46) and 200-meter (23.94)…best time in 200-meter was a 23.72 at the St. Thomas Invite…ended outdoor season finishing 16th in the 100-meter (11.72) and 17th in the 200-meter (24.02).
High School: 2007 graduate of Robbinsdale Armstrong High School…coached by Scott Weiker…track & field captain…two-time All-Conference honoree…four-time section champion who never lost in the 4x100 relay…member of the academic honor roll for all four years.
Personal: Son of John and Ruby Chavers of Plymouth, Minnesota…lists his father as the person with the greatest influence on his career…says anchoring the 4x100 relay and winning the conference championship is his greatest sports thrill…also enjoys cars, chess, poetry, and golf.
