The Adam Kershaw Story
2008: Captured third at the NCC Indoors in the shot put (49-4.25)…also finished 10th in the weight toss (48-1.25)…best placing in the indoor season was a second place mark at the Husky Open in the shot (15.04)…matched that in the outdoor season, grabbing another second place finish in the shot (14.28) at the Bison Open…Husky Open also saw a third place finish in the weight throw (13.71)…had solid day at the Morris Invite where he took seventh in the shot (14.59), fourth in the discus (45.47) and sixth in the hammer throw (41.15)…wrapped up outdoor season with seventh place in the shot (46’-1.5”), ninth in the hammer (144’) and 10th in the discus (132’-7”) at the NCC Championships...had two other top five finishes during the outdoor season.
2007: At NCC championships finished seventh in discus (138’1”) and 13th in the hammer throw (124’)…at St. Thomas Invite grabbed one top-five finish in the hammer (137’2”) with NCC honor roll mark and one top-ten in the shot put (45’3¾”)…posted best shot put of the season for the Huskies as well as fifth best mark in the NCC with 46’6¼” throw, finishing sixth at the Cobber Invite…at the Indoor Championships placed 13th in the shot put with 42’4” throw…at the Husky Open grabbed eighth place in the shot put (44’) and 20th in the weight throw (39’1¼”).
High School: 2006 graduate of Foley High School…three sport athlete who won five letters on the track & field team…also garnered four letters on the football field and three more on the basketball court.
Personal: Son of Richard and Louise Kershaw of Foley, Minnesota…lists going to the state meet as a senior in high school as his greatest sports thrill…majoring in engineering.
