2008: A member of the Indoor and Outdoor NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll…did not see action in either indoor or outdoor seasons…
2007: At the Division II challenge recorded seventh best time in the NCC with 22.88 mark in the 200-meter…posted NCC 11th best time in the 100–meter (11.43) as well at the Division II challenge…at indoor NCC championships recorded 13th place finish in the 200-meter (23.43)…finished seventh in the 200-meter (23.75) at the Husky Open.
High School: 2005 graduate of Coon Rapids High School…garnered two letters in track & field and was named All-Conference honorable mention…All-Conference HM and defensive MVP while earning two letters on the football field…lettered once in basketball…recipient of the 3x4 award…listed as who’s who among American High School Students and received Minnesota State High School League Gold Star Certificate.
Personal: Son of Steve and Natalie Novak of Coon Rapids, Minnesota…lists his parents as the people with the greatest influence on his career…Michael Jordan is favorite sports personality…says beating conference rival Blaine High School to win the conference title in track & field was greatest sports thrill…majoring in mass communication with a minor in Spanish.
