The Matt Main Story
2008: Finished the indoor season with three consecutive top three finishes, including: third in the 800-meter (2:08.92) at the Husky Open, fourth in the 800-meter (1:12.55) at the SCSU Open and fifth in the 600-meter (1:29.67) at the Snowshoe Open…best finish of outdoor season was at St. Thomas Invite where he came in eighth in the 400-meter (54.71)…was 14th at the NCC Championships in the 400-meter.
Prior to SCSU: Transfer from the University if Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
High School: 2005 graduate of Webster High School…coached by Jeff Postler…four sport athlete earning four letters in track & field, being named All-Conference and making it to the state meet each year…twice a state runner up…also won for letters in baseball being named All-Conference and All-District…won three letters in football and two more in basketball and was again named All-Conference in each sport.
Personal: Son of Todd Main of Webb Lake, Wisconsin, and Lori Ingalls of Webster, Wisconsin…lists attending the 2002 World Series as his greatest sports thrill…majoring in meteorology.
