2008: Named to both Indoor and Outdoor NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll…indoor season highlighted by fourth place mark in the 1000-meter (3:25.12) at the Husky Open…also notched fifth place finish in 800-meter (2:36.22) at SCSU Open…sported 12th place marks in the 800-meter at the Northwest Open and Jack Johnson Minnesota Classic with times of 2:36.21 and 2:33.44 respectively…Finished 18th in 800-meter (2:34.72) at St. Thomas Invite and at NCC Championships (2:33.51) in her two appearances of the outdoor season…
2007: Ran 800-meter at NCC outdoor championships finishing 2:34.02…recorded best time of season at Cobber Invitational with 2:32.84 effort…indoor season brought an 11th place finish at the NCC championships in the 800-meter with 2:36.01 time…best 800 time was at the MSU open where she recorded a 2:32.98…earned a sixth place finish at the Husky Open with 2:33.38…best finish of season was fourth place effort (2:36.98) at DQ Blizzard Invite…named to the NCC Commissioner’s Academic Honor roll.
2006: Competed in the 800m at both the Indoor and Outdoor NCC Championships and ran a leg of the sixth place Distance Medley…also competed in the North Central Conference Cross Country Championships and was named to the Academic All-NCC Honor Roll.
High School: 2005 graduate of Westbrook Walnut Grove High School…coached by Joan Zieske…accumulated four letters in track & field…a two-time All-Conference selection and three-time Academic All-Conference selection…also earned five total letters in the gym with three in basketball and two in volleyball…named Woman of the Year for 2004-05.
Personal: Daughter of Lyle and Gail Nelson of Westbrook, Minnesota…lists her parents as the people with the greatest influence on her career…majoring in nursing.
