The David Pieper Story

2009 Track: Indoor season sixth place 800 meter (2:08.50) finish at the Minnesota Open…outdoor season highlight first place finish in the 3000 meter (9:49.93) at the UMD Triangular…ninth place mark at Gustavus in the 3000m Steeplechase (10:50.26).

2008 XC: First year...Pieper made the regional squad for the Huskies in 2008 and ran in every race as a rookie…tallied his personal best time of 29:10.55 at the NSIC Championships.

High School: 2008 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School…coached by Donn Behnke…three-time cross country letter winner who was voted team captain and finished as the runner-up at the state meet…two-time letter winner in track & field and also participated in basketball and tennis…Honor Roll member.

Personal: Son of James and Linda Pieper of Plover…lists Donn Behnke and Chris Solinski as the people with the greatest influence on his athletic career…says the cross country state meet was his greatest athletic experience…also likes to run triathlons…majoring in film studies.
