WOMEN'S TENNIS: SCSU Ties Team Win Record on April 18

Sartell, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team tied a team record for wins in a season thanks to a pair of victories over Winona State and Minnesota Crookston on April 18, in Sartell. The Huskies now own a 21-8 overall record and a 12-1 NSIC record this spring. SCSU also hit the 21-win plateau in 2003, 2002 and 1999. SCSU has a chance to break the team record on April 19, with a match at home against St. Thomas.
In the matches, Kelly Freese and Kayla Lenz both charted two wins in singles play against Winona State and Minnesota Crookston. Freese now owns a 25-4 singles record this season, which is two wins shy of her current team record of 27 wins set in 2008. Lenz now owns a 23-6 record in singles play this season.
Complete results from both matches are listed below. Of note, SCSU has now won 12 consecutive matches dating back to March 17.
