WOMEN'S TENNIS: Huskies Collect 6-3 Win Over Huskies

The St. Cloud State University women's tennis team gained its ninth consective dual match victory of the season with a 6-3 triumph over Michigan Tech University on Tuesday, April 7, in a match played at the Gold's Gym Tennis Center in nearby Sartell. The victory improved SCSU's record to 18-8 on the season, while MTU falls to 14-8.
SCSU gained wins in singles play at #1 singles by Jacque Doll, who was recently named the NSIC Player of the Week on April 6. St. Cloud Cathedral grad Kelly Freese earned a victory at third singles for the Huskies, while Kayla Lenz (#4), Krisite Eull (#5) and Sam Boushek (#6) all gained victories for SCSU. In doubles action, Eull and Tanya Halloran added an 8-1 win at third doubles to clinch the win.
Next on tap for the Huskies is an April 14 date at cross-county rival the College of St. Benedict.
