Moorhead, Minn. – To open competition in the new 2009-10 season, the St. Cloud State University women’s swimming and diving squad dominated Minnesota State University Moorhead, winning 11 of the 13 events on Day One of competition in the dual meet between the Huskies and Dragons on Friday, Oct. 16, from MSUM’s Alex Nemzek Swimming Pool. SCSU also set three new pool records enroute to the 11 wins tonight at MSUM.

"This was a great meet for us tonight and it was important to compete well against MSU Moorhead," said SCSU's head coach Jeff Hegle in regards to MSUM, who was selected as one of the top teams in the RMAC this season. "We swam well, but there is definitely room for improvement, and it was great to finally swim in a meet after eight weeks of practice," added Hegle.
