The Erin Walter Story

2010-11: Brought home the Hardest Worker of the Year title for her efforts in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 100 back and 200 back this season… recorded personal top times on Feb. 5 in the 200 free (1:59.45) and 200 back (2:16.44)… swam a leg in the 800 free relay on Feb. 5.

2009-10: Walter season highlights include a 200-free time of 2:02.63 and a 50-backstroke time of 0:32.59.

2008-09: First year … appeared in 11 meets throughout the season … saw most action in the 200 free and 100 and 200 back … also competed in all five relay events … tabbed a second place finish on the 200 medley relay (1:50.24) on Nov. 15 against Division I competition at UW-Green Bay … had a career meet at the Carthage Invite on Dec. 5 & 6 setting career highs in the 200 free (2:02.68), the 100 back (1:04.92) and the 200 back (2:16.15).

Before SCSU: A 2008 graduate of Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, Colorado…coached by Tim Campbell…four-time letter winner in swimming…her greatest sports thrill was winning the league championships in 2006 to earn her school’s first swimming championship.

Personal: Daughter of Bob and Chris Walter…says her teammates have had the greatest influence on her career…lists Ryan Lochte as her favorite sports personality…honor roll student…graduated in the top 10 of her class…was awarded the Top of the Mountain Award in Math: World Languages…was a member of the foothills swim team and the Green Mountain United Methodist Church youth group.
