The Angie Wieden Story
2008-09: First year … competed in 11 meets during the season … saw most of her time in the back and IM events … best finish of the season was a fourth place tally in the 200 IM (2:24.60) against St. Olaf … set her season high in the 100 back on Nov. 15 with a 1:06.49 … had a career performance at the Carthage Invite on Dec. 5 & 6, setting season highs in the 200 back (2:26.00), 200 IM (2:23.91) and the 400 IM (5:03.72).
HIGH SCHOOL : 2008 graduate of Stillwater Area High School where she was coached by Brian Luke…four-time swimming letter winner…a team captain, she earned the Coaches Award and All-Conference Honorable Mention honors…racked up six letters in synchro and was again a team captain, earning All-Conference, All-State and MVP honors…earned two letters in Nordic Skiing.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Dave and Sherri Wieden of Stillwater…lists her parents as the people with the greatest influence on her career…majoring in nursing.
