The Zac Hanson Story
2008-09: First year … competed in nine meets during the season … competed in the 50 free and fly and the 100 free and fly … also competed in four of the relay events, which included his first career win on Jan. 17 in the 200 free relay (1:28.21) against St. Olaf … set a career high on Nov. 1 in the 50 fly … set three career highs at the Carthage Invite on Dec. 5 & 6 in the 50 free (21.95), the 100 free (49.58) and the 100 fly (56.07).
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a member of Holmen’s inaugural swim team his senior year, earning a berth at the Wisconsin State Championships in the 50 and 100 free…was an All-State Honorable Mention pick…holds nine of 11 school records in the pool…in club events, he was a two-time YMCA National Swim Meet qualifier, finishing 14th in the 200 free relay at the ’08 meet…holds two club records in the 200 and 400 free relay…was also a three-year letter winner in track…was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society and an active member of DECA…won the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award.
PERSONAL: Son of David and Barb Hanson…credits his parents as having the biggest influence on his career…greatest sports thrills are his experience at the 2008 YMCA National Meet and qualifying for the 2008 Wisconsin State Meet…marketing major with a minor in advertising.Free E-Mail Updates
