The Chris White Story
2010-11: Placed sixth on both boards at the 2011 NCAA’s, earning him All-American honors…he scored a 474.20 on the one-meter and 493.35 on the three-meter at nationals…placed third on the boards at the 2011 Midwestern Collegiate Championships in February…garnered a personal top score of 562.75 on the three-meter (11 Championship) on Jan. 21, which marked the highest team score of the season…totaled five first place finishes in 2010-11.
2009-10: St. Cloud State University’s first year diver Chris White (Rochester) had a sensational rookie season for the Huskies in 2009-10...at the 2010 NCAA Division II Championships, White posted a score of 405.05 points in the 1-meter event on March 11 to end in ninth place...the finish helped him secure All-American Honorable Mention recognition in the event...two days later, White finished in fifth place in the 3-meter dive with a season-high score of 479 points...the final tally earned him a second All-American nod...White also garnered top honors on the men’s 3-meter board at the 2010 Midwestern Collegiate Championships on Feb. 17-20 in Omaha, Neb.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2009 graduate of Mayo High School...five-time letterwinner...three-time All-Conference…two-time All-American and All-State…State Games of America 2009 champion on the one and three meter springboard…three-time letterwinner in track and field…team MVP…coached by Greg Andrews and Rich Ballard.
PERSONAL: Son of James and Brenda White of Rochester, Minn... Laura Wilkenson is his favorite sports personality and his high school coach Rich Ballard is the person with the greatest influence on his career...major is undecided at SCSU.
