The Nathan Engfer Story

2010-11: Posted personal top times of :22.22 (50 free), :24.68 (50 fly), :52.83 (100 fly), 2:05.98 (200 fly) and :57.06 (100 back) during his sophomore campaign…also swam legs on the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay…ranked fourth on the squad in the 50 fly and third on the Husky roster in the 100 fly.

2009-10: Engfer highlighted his season with a 50-fly time of 0:25.24 seconds and a 100-fly time of 0:53.08.

Before SCSU: A 2009 graduate of Buffalo High School...coached by Ryan Rehnstrand...a five-time letterwinner in swimming...holds multiple records at BHS...an All-Section and All-Mississippi 8 Conference swimmer... lettered twice in track and cross country...an All-Conference runner in track and a member of the State Championship cross country team...team captain in swimming...lists taking 2nd in sections to become the first swimmer ever from Buffalo to go to the State Tournament as his greatest sports thrill.

Personal: Son of Russ and Nancy Engfer of Buffalo, Minn. ...says his parents have had the greatest influence on his athletic career...lists Steve Prefontaine as his favorite sports personality...enjoys playing soccer, running, driving a 4-wheeler, hunting and snowmobiling in his free time...is a co-founder of a student organization called Globally Minded Student Activists (GMSA).
