The Ryan Goggans Story

2010-11: Captured a Midwestern Collegiate Conference title as a member of the men’s 200 free relay with a time of 1:25.42…posted four personal first place finishes during his sophomore stint…competed in seven individual events for the Huskies, including the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free and 100 fly…led the Huskies with top times of 1:44.78 in the 200 free, 4:44.79 in the 500 free, 10:03.40 in the 1000 free and 16:52.95 in the 1650 free…participated as well in the 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 400 medley relay.

Before SCSU: A transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee…swam for UW-Milwaukee in 2009-10.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Appleton North High…coached by Scott Stepanski…lettered four times in swimming…four-time FVA All-Conferece and All-State swimmer…was an All-State Honorable Mention swimmer twice during his prep career…named the FVA Swimmer of the Year…a Post-Crescent Swimmer of the Year…team captain two seasons…holds the pool record and sectional record in the 200 free…says breaking the 200 free record at Sectionals his senior year, winning a relay and watching his team come within points of winning the Sectional meet his greatest sports thrill.

Personal: Says his mother has had the greatest influence on his career…done of Gary and Mary Goggans of Appleton, Wis. …lists Aaron Lochte as his favorite sports personality…member of the National Honor Society…enjoys boating, biking and school clubs…pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences at St. Cloud State.
