The Murphy Hebbard Story
2010-11: Took part in six individual events during his rookie stint, including the 50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM and 100 fly…ranked fourth on the Husky squad with a time of :52.96 in the 100 fly and :2:00.34 in the 200 IM.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School…coached by Marlo Varnada…says his teammates have had the greatest influence on his career…three-sport standout for the Knights…lettered four times in swimming…named Rookie of the Year…voted Most Improve dand Most Dedicated…two-time team MVP…All-Conference swimmer…State qualifier…four-time letterwinner in water polo…two-time All-Section player…All-Conference player twice during his prep stint…lettered once in football…says making it to the State meet and to the finals at the YMCA Spring Nationals as his greatest sports thrill…swam the breaststroke in 59.99, the 100 fly in 53.26 and the 200 IM in 2:04.
Personal: Son of Joseph and Donna Hebbard of New Lenox, Ill. …member of the National Honor Society…plans to major in manufacturing engineering.
