The Mirna Kojic Story
BEFORE SCSU: Originally from Grand Forks, N.D., Mirna Kojic has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend St. Cloud State University in the fall of 2011 and swim for the Huskies. A 2011 graduate of Red River Senior High School, Kojic won five varsity letters for the Roughriders. Coached by Bryan Walls, Kojic is a three-time All-State First Team and Eastern Division All-Conference selections. A team captain the past two seasons, Kojic was voted the Eastern Division Conference Senior Athlete of the Year. Kojic has participated in the North Dakota State High School Swim Meet since the eighth grade. In her final season as a high school athlete, Kojic was crowned the State Champion as part of the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. She also garnered runner-up honors in the 50 free and third place honors in the 100 free at the State Tournament.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Marko and Marina Kojic, Mirna has landed on the ‘A’ honor roll all four years during high school. A member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Society, Kojic was voted the Student of the Month at RRSHS in November of 2007. She enjoys playing soccer, running, making crafts and reading in her free time.
