The Marissa Smith Story

2010-11: Competed in seven events for the Huskies during her rookie stint, including the 50 back, 100 back, 200 back, 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 200 IM… on Feb. 5, posted career best marks in the 100 back (1:03.73), 200 back (2:19.01) and 200 free (2:02.66).

High School: Graduated from Lakeville North Senior High School in 2010…coached by Rick Ringhisen and Dan Schneider…lettered five times in swimming for the Panthers…team captain…2009 Lake Conference Champion…lists his greatest sports thrill as upsetting Eden Prairie High, who was ranked first in his conference, in his final meet of his senior season to win the Lake Conference Championship team title.

Personal: Daughter of Steven and Marg Smith of Lakeville, Minn. …majoring in biochemistry with a minor in forensics at St. Cloud State…a member of the St. Cloud State Honors program…enjoys playing Guitar Hero.
