The Doug McGrath Story
2006-07: Junior...was a member of two top-three relay teams at the NCC Championships (200 medley took third, 200 free took second)…took home five, top-seven showings in the 50 free, including first in Husky Invite II…his 200 free and medley relay teams also took home first place at Husky Invite II…named Husky of the Year…a member of the NCC Academic Honor Roll.
2005-06: Sophomore...member of the 2006 record breaking 400 medley relay team...placed ninth in the 50 free and member of the third place finishing 200 free relay and fourth place finishing teams at the NCC Championships...named Hardest Worker and Male Husky of the Year.
2004-05: First year...member of 800 free relay that placed fifth at the 2005 NCC Championships...Academic Honor Roll member.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2004 graduate of Alexandria Jefferson High school...while competing for the Cardinals, McGrath was an All-Conference and All-Region selection in swimming...earned four letters and was voted as his team’s MVP, Hardest Worker, and Most Improved in his career...also a member of the Cardinals section winning swim team in 2000.
PERSONAL: Parents are Brian & Sue McGrath of Alexandria...majoring in business...high school coach was Mark Storhaug.
