The Cassi Mrozek Story

2009-10: Mrozek’s season highlights include 1-meter (11) 420.35 and 3-meter (60) 240.60 marks...She earned two All-American Honorable Mentions in the 3-meter and 1-meter boards, and set a pool record at Minnesota State on the 1-meter (11) with 420.35...named the 2010 Midwestern Collegiate Championships Female Diver of the Year after sweeping both boards and leading the Huskies to a first place team finish.

2008-09: Sophomore season…gained All-American Honorable Mention on the three-meter board at the 2009 NCAA Division II Championships with a 12th place finish (341.55)...charted two first place finishes on the three-meter board and one first place finish on the one-meter board in 2008-09…on Jan. 23 posted the best mark of the season on the one-meter (5o/1v) with a score of 246.95…her best season mark on the three-meter (5o/1v) was 244.35, accomplished on Oct. 25...national qualifier on both boards.

2007-08: Garnered two All-NCC Honorable Mention accolades after placing ninth at the NCC Championships in both one-meter (327.55) and three-meter (356.05) diving, each personal best marks…set personal records for six dive marks in the three-meter on 12/8/07 against Minnesota State finishing sixth with a 204.25 and in the one-meter on 1/19/08 against St. Olaf when she took home third place with a 212.95…placed third a week later again when she posted a 195.15 against Carleton on 1/15/08.

HIGH SCHOOL:  2007 graduate of Simley High School…coached by Bob Bierman…six time diving letter winner while also garnering All-Conference accolades four times and one MVP…a two time section winner and four time state meet participant...also received an academic letter as a senior in 2007.

PERSONAL:  Daughter of Scott Mrozek and Pamela Gerlach, each of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota…lists Scott Smith as the person with the greatest influence on her career…greatest sports thrill was finishing sixth at state as a senior…when not in the pool Mrozek enjoys running and snowboarding…majoring in Graphic Design.
