The Caleb Cohoon Story

2010-11: During his rookie stint at St. Cloud State, Cohoon competed in seven individual events for the Huskies, including the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 breast, 200 IM and 200 back…tabbed his career best time of :22.62 in the 50 free on Dec. 4 at the UW-River Falls Invitational…also swam legs on the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 800 free relay…amassed personal top times of :48.56 (100 free), 1:50.56 (200 free), 5:24.03 (500 free), 1:06.70 (100 breast), 2:04.45 (200 IM) and 2:05.82 (200 back)…charted his lone first place finish in the 100 free on Nov. 6 at the Gustavus Adolphus dual.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Buffalo High School (Wyoming)…coached by Ron Chapin..lettered four times in swimming for the Bison…named the Swimmer of the Year in 2009 and 2010…an All-Conference and All-State swimmer…holds the school record in the 100 breast (101.92) and the 200 medley relay….lists his greatest sports thrill as coming from behind to win the 200 free relay after trailing by more than a body length.

Personal: Son of Robert and Kathy Cohoon of Buffalo, Wyo. …lists his high school coach, Ron Chapin, as person with the most influence on his career…an Eagle Scout…member of the National Honor Society…enjoys mountain biking, hiking, fishing and camping in his free time.
