The Andrew Fuller Story
2008-09: First year … competed in nine events during the season, swimming almost exclusively the freestyle events … also competed in each relay … at the Minnesota Challenge on Feb. 6 & 7 set season highs in the 50 free (22.39), the 100 free (48.87), the 200 free (1:48.69), and the 100 back (59.71) … on Nov. 1 had best performance in the 500 free with a 5:18.52.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a six-time letter winner in the pool for Faribault H.S.…Won a grand total of 10 All-State medals in the pool, preceded by multiple section championships…four-time Big Nine All-Conference selection…set two pool records at Faribault…team captain and MVP his senior year...also a standout in the pole vault, as he won four letters…won the section meet and medaled at state his senior season…medaled three times at the section meet…two-time Big Nine All-Conference selection…was also a Junior Olympic regional champion, qualifying for nationals…efforts earned him a nomination for Faribault Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year award…on the academic end, he was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection in both swimming and track...also earned an Academic All-State selection…was a Gold Chord Award recipient and on the “A” Honor Roll from 7th through 12th grade.
PERSONAL: Son of Charlie and Joy Fuller…lists his father as the person with the greatest influence on his career…sister Bethany is a current member of the Husky Swim Team and his brother Isaiah is a former All-NCC swimmer for SCSU…lists his biggest sports thrill as competing at both the state swimming and track meets…enjoys movies, reading and exercising in his spare time…is undecided on a major.
