The Alison Weske Story
2008-09: Junior season … another banner season in the pool, garnering two more Honorable Mention All-American honors … now a four-time All-American Honorable Mention winner … at the NCAA Championships swam the second leg of the 10th place 200 medley relay (3:50.44) and anchored the 16th place 800 free relay … 400 medley relay time was also a new SCSU record … also a member of the winning 400 medley relay (3:55.11) team at the Carthage Invite on Dec. 5 that set a new meet record … a five-time individual winner in 2008-09, all coming in the 100 fly … placed 27th at the NCAA championships in the 100 fly with a season best time of 57.54 … in her only appearance in the 200 fly on the season, placed second with a 2:21.79 against Division I competition at UW-Green Bay … set a season high in the 100 back with a 1:01.61 performance on Feb. 20 at the Northern Sun Championships … season high in the 200 back came on Dec. 5 and was a 2:18.09 tally … holds five of the Huskies top-ten marks in the 100 fly on the season.
2007-08: Swam to All-America Honorable Mention status at the NCAA Championship meet in March with a 15th place finish in the 200 free relay (1:37.85) and a 16th place mark as the anchor of the 800 free relay (8:02.01)…tabbed All-NCC Honorable Mention Status when she touched the wall in 10th place in the 100 fly (59.86)…at the NCAA’s also swam on the 18th place 400 free relay (3:35.41), and on the 20th place 200 medley relay (1:51.53)…also swam individually in the 100 fly (59.51) at National’s placing 28th…was a winner in eight races on the season, with six victories coming in the 100 fly…posted the Huskies best mark in the 100 fly, a 58.51 tally coming at the TRY/CollegeSwimming.com Classic…to go along with individual win, Weske swam on four winning relays the TYR Classic, the 400 MR (4:01.54), the 200 MR (1:49.58), the 400 FR (3:35.79) as well at the 200 FR (1:36.90) that sent her, Kelly Vieau, Erin Lannon, and Alisha Blaydes to the NCAA Championships…tallied nine total wins on relays during the season.
2006-07: First year...qualified for NCAA B-cuts in the 100 fly (58.47)...finished 9th at the NCC Championships...posted third best time in the NCC in the 100 fly on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL : 2006 graduate of Sun Prairie High School in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin...four-time letter winner in swimming...three-year All-American and two-year Conference champion.
PERSONAL: Parents are Bob and Jeanne Weske of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin...named grandfather as the person who has the most influence on her career...communications major...high school coach was Nancy Harms.
