SOFTBALL: 9th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser Succeeds

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State softball team held its 9th Annual Golf Fundraiser at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course on October 3, 2009. Over 125 golfers came out to support the Husky Softball program and take in a round of either nine or 18 holes of golf.
“It was a great day to be a part of the Husky Softball program and to witness the support our program has,” said 13-year head coach Paula U’Ren. “This fundraiser is our largest fundraiser of the year and all of the proceeds go to our team’s travel costs for the upcoming spring season.”
In addition to golfing, softball fans, parents and alumni received a t-shirt, raffle tickets, door prizes and a meal at the end of the day.
“We look forward to this event each year as a multitude of alumni, parents, friends and family members come back for the action-packed day of full of prizes, great food and fun on the golf course.”
