SOFTBALL: SCSU Softball Recruits Participate in Wisconsin All-Star Series

A pair of St. Cloud State University softball recruits are participating in the 2009 Wisconsin Fastpitch Coaches Association High School Softball All-Star series on June 15-16, in Stevens Point, Wis. Mikayla Hogan, a resident of Chippewa Falls, Wis. and 2009 graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, is listed on the Division I Red All-Star Team roster as a catcher. Alyssa Roberts, a resident of Kenosha, Wis. and graduate of Bradford High School, is a pitcher for the Division I Blue All-Star Team.
Hogan helped lead her Chippewa Falls High School team to a second place finish at the 2009 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I state championship on June 14, in Madison, Wis.
Both Hogan and Roberts have signed national letters of intent to attend St. Cloud State University, where they will play softball for SCSU coach Paula U'Ren.
St. Cloud State University, an NCAA Division II affiliate, will begin its second season as a member of the highly competitive Northern Sun Intercollegiate
Conference in 2009-10. Founded in 1869, St. Cloud State University
enrolls over 16,000 students making it the second largest college in
the state of Minnesota.
