2009 Season: Started in all 59 games for the Huskies at third base…batted .245 on the season…in 188 at-bats, charted 17 runs, 46 hits, six doubles, three home runs and 26 RBI’s…her three home runs were a co-best on the team…was second on the squad with 130 fielding assists in 2009.
2008 Season: First year first baseman from North St. Paul…started in all 56 games, 55 at first base…batted .302 (48-159) with 10 doubles, one triple, 26 runs and 32 RBI…crushed seven home runs in her rookie season which is just one shy of the SCSU first year record (Homan, ’05)…finished just four RBI away from the first year record of 36 set in 2002 by Megan Fuches…among players with over 100 at-bats finished second with a .509 slugging percentage…led SCSU with 425 putouts, the second best season in school history…was second on the team in RBI and home runs and third in doubles…grabbed first career hit in the second game of the season and scored first run in the seasons fourth game…her third hit of the season came on 2/17 in the form of her first career home run, a solo shot against the University of Mary…in the following game later the same day, hit another solo shot for the second of her career…went 1-1 with two walks and scored a career high three runs on 2/22 in a 12-0 win over Bemidji State…first career multi hit game came on 2/23 as a 2-3 with a home run on a 9-2 over Wisconsin-Superior…had a career day on 3/14 going 3-4 with a run scored and three RBI including a double and a homerun in an 8-0 win over Missouri Southern…followed it up on 3/21 with another 3-4 performance and two runs and a career high two stolen bases in an 8-0 win over Mayville State…led Huskies to victory on 4/19 over South Dakota with a sixth inning grand slam to give SCSU a 9-6 lead...five RBI day stand as a career high…went 3-5 with two RBI in the Huskies 12-11 win over North Dakota in the NCC Tournament…tallied nine multi-RBI games and 10 multi hit games...voted team's Rookie of the Year at the completion of the season.
High School: 2007 graduate of North High School…played for coach Sean Hall…three sport athlete who lettered three times in softball…Team Captain…garnered All-Conference and All-State accolades…four time letter winner as a cross country runner…won Rookie of the Year award and was also a Captain…lettered three times as well in hockey where she was again a captain…won the Hobey Baker award and was named All-Conference Honorable Mention…Athena Award winner as a senior and four time state qualifier in softball.
Personal: Daughter of Warren and Ann Sbragia of North St. Paul, Minnesota…says her father has had the greatest influence on her career…winning the 2007 state softball championship by one run in the 11th inning is her greatest sports thrill...a member of the “A” Honor Roll and National Honor Society in high school…enjoys hanging out with her friends and watching movies when not playing…majoring in business.
