The Nicole Steinle File
Before SCSU: Steinle started as a catcher and at first base for Indian Hills Community College the past two seasons. She earned First Team Iowa Community College Athletic Conference All-Region honors in 2011 and led her squad to the 2010 National Tournament in St. George, Utah, during her rookie stint in 2010. Playing in 79 games total for the IHCC Warriors, Steinle posted team highs with 41 RBI, eight home runs and drew 29 walks during her sophomore season. She also added a .520 slugging percentage and a .993 fielding percentage to lift the Warriors to a 34-17 overall mark in 2011 and runner-up regional honors.
A 2009 graduate of Fort Collins High School, Steinle was a two-time All-Conference First Team recipient in the Front Range League. In 2006 during her sophomore season she also charted All-Conference Second Team honors. She earned four varsity letters in high school and capped off her prep tenure with an All-State nod her senior year.
Personal: The daughter of Mike and Adrienne Steinle, Nicole plans to major in biology at St. Cloud State and pursue a physical therapy degree.
